Installation

This page explains how to install Froststrap on Windows and what you need before starting.

System Requirements

Before installing, make sure your system meets the following requirements:

• Windows 10 or newer
• .NET Framework 8.0
• Administrator access for first-time setup
• An active internet connection for downloading releases

Download

The recommended way to install Froststrap is through the latest GitHub release.

1. Go to the Froststrap GitHub releases page.
2. Download the latest `.exe` installer.
3. Run the installer and follow the setup steps.
4. Launch Froststrap after installation completes.

First Run

On first launch, Froststrap may create its configuration files and apply default settings. If Windows shows a security prompt, allow the app so it can finish setup properly.

Troubleshooting

If you run into issues during install, check the troubleshooting guide or try the following:

• Re-download the installer in case the file is corrupted.
• Run the installer as administrator.
• Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the download or install.
• Make sure .NET Framework 8.0 is installed correctly.
